Alexandra Cancro is a portrait and travel photographer based in Taos, New Mexico. Her love for photography and travel began at a young age and led her to pursue an International Relations and Spanish degree at Seattle University. Her studies took her abroad for a year, where she developed a deep admiration for the diversity and richness of our world.

Alex worked in the luxury travel industry for 8 years, providing her with the chance to live and immerse herself in the daily life and unique customs of the locals in Europe and Central and South America. During her travels, her passion for capturing images evolved as a way to freeze time and share the beauty of her surroundings. Her curiosity and desire to deepen her understanding of foreign cultures has taken her to over 45 countries.

When she’s not behind the lens, Alex can often be found skiing in her hometown, spending time with her friends and family, and working with local organizations to promote and preserve the rich history of New Mexico. She remains an avid adventurer with an endless appreciation for human connection, delicious food and a great view.
