Dining
All meals—breakfasts, snacks, lunches, dinners, and room service—are included in the expedition cost, along with a selection of beers and wines. The way you dine varies during the journey. Some nights it’s a group dinner, while on others, you may share a meal with new friends, savor a private dinner with your partner, or go solo.

Dietary Preferences & Restrictions
On and off the jet, we take your dietary preferences and restrictions into account and emphasize food safety. We work with restaurateurs and hotel staff in advance to try to allow you to enjoy local cuisine that meets your needs.
Group Meals
You will enjoy group breakfasts at your hotels. Group dinners could be at a fantastic restaurant or your hotel. Depending on the day’s schedule and service capabilities at the hotel and destination, some group meals will be buffet style. This allows greater flexibility to enjoy a delicious meal with more time for sightseeing. We’ll arrange a celebratory feast with a festive atmosphere and local performances at a few stops.
Dine Around
On some nights, we have arranged for you to choose to eat on your own or with friends at a local restaurant. We will provide carefully vetted options for your Dine Around meals, offering both fine dining and more local cuisine.
Midday Meals
Midday meals can be at a local restaurant or your hotel, depending on your activities schedule. We occasionally arrange picnic or box lunches while you’re touring, based on location and itinerary.
Dining In The Sky
A chef travels with the group, ensuring guests’ dietary preferences are met on every leg of the journey. The chef curates all meals and manages logistics to provide choices, wherever possible, in the challenging in-flight scenario. Special Dinners
Each itinerary includes a few meals in spectacular settings—such as amid temple ruins in Cambodia or on the plains of the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. These dinners highlight the culture or tradition of each unique locale, which may otherwise be inaccessible.
